These codes point to problems in the engine computer itself (memory, processor or internal communication) or in the circuits it controls, such as relays and actuators.
Before concluding that an engine computer has failed, rule out the usual suspects: power supply and earths, battery voltage, damp or corroded connectors and fuses. A code in this group can also appear after starting with a low battery or after work on the electrical system.
If the computer does have to be replaced, it normally needs to be coded or programmed for that car, so it is best done at a garage with the right equipment.
