How we make our content

DATAIAO’s car pages, OBD codes, guides and fault pages are always prepared the same way. This is exactly how. (Car pages, OBD codes and guides are written in Spanish.)

Who writes it

The first version is written by an artificial intelligence (Dataiao Engine) with fixed instructions: plain language, no invented prices or unsourced statistics, mandatory safety warnings for brakes, airbags, high voltage and other sensitive systems, and referring to the manufacturer’s manual for exact torques, capacities and intervals.

The fault-by-symptom and roadworthiness (ITV) pages also carry their own text, with sources at the bottom and the review date.

How it is reviewed

  • A second, independent and stricter AI pass reviews every text: it checks the facts, corrects what it finds and gives a verdict (correct, doubtful or rejected). Rejected texts are never published.
  • Before publishing, the text goes through automatic checks: minimum content, no unsourced prices or statistics, a Spanish title and no duplicates.
  • Each page says how it was reviewed: “Reviewed by the DATAIAO team” when a team member has read and approved it, or “Automatic AI review” when it was published without being read by a person.

What is published automatically and what a person approves

  • OBD codes: a member of the team publishes them from the admin panel, with a daily limit.
  • Car pages: a member of the team publishes them from the admin panel, with a daily limit.
  • Guides: a member of the team publishes them from the admin panel, with a daily limit.

Nothing is published without a team member approving it. We publish gradually on purpose: we prefer fewer, better-reviewed pages.

Sources

  • Generic OBD codes: the SAE J2012 / ISO 15031-6 standard, which defines the meaning of each generic code. Manufacturer-specific codes are not published as generic pages.
  • Roadworthiness test (ITV): Spain’s Royal Decree 920/2017, the inspection procedure manual of the ITV stations, and DGT information.
  • Maintenance and repair: each manufacturer’s service book and workshop manual are the reference; pages point this out when a figure depends on the version.
  • When a page cites a specific figure or regulation, the source appears on that page.

Limits

This is general guidance. It does not replace a professional inspection: the actual causes depend on the make, the engine and the condition of each car. For anything that affects safety, we recommend a garage.

Corrections and updates

  • Every car page, code and guide has a link to report an error. We review it and, if needed, correct or withdraw the page.
  • You can also write to us from Support.
  • Each page shows the date of its last review. When the content changes, that date changes.
